So much Inspiration...

Milford Sound, New Zealand

Fly Geyser, America

The Travertine Pools of Pamukkal, Turkey

Victoria Falls, Zambia and Zimbabwe, Africa (Own Photo)

I have always been one to pick up a travel or hiking magazine... but since joining Twitter, and following companies like Lonely Planet, I have found there are SO many things to read and absorb more instantly and on the go. I surprisingly found an page of interest on Student Beans, an unlikely site for travel you may think, titled '20 Places that remind you the earth is beautiful' which has some amazing photos and unusual locations. I've included a few of my favourites and Number 19 on the list was a place I visited in June, Zambia. My next blog will be all about my African adventure!

The Travelling Mole... Literally

Evening all,

The other day I was kindly given a small figurine of a MOLE. Since this little guy has come in to my possession I have taken him with me on my day to day travels; including walk to work and the shops.

So I think I will make regular updates of my new friend and his own adventures... this weekends adventures include: driving lesson, haircut (not for the mole) and a trip to bournemouth.

Also joined twitter the other day... which is proving very inspiring for travel ideas for blogs!

Welcome...

Welcome to Mole's Travel Diary...

Here I hope to fill many posts of past, recent and future adventures.

Sharing experiences of sights, culture, food and transport... I hope to indulge my love for travel research from maps to timetables. It may seem geeky- but I love it!

My hope for this blog is that it will document every idea, piece of advice or article read to inspire future travel. I hope to include as many photos as possible, as I love to take photographs of everything and anything.

The Mole in 'Mole's Travels' is a nickname shared by a life long friend of mine- who is currently going around the world with a cruise company.

Using a website Wolpy I have mapped all the places I have been outside of the UK so far.. You can zoom in on the interactive map below.
